Witch Child by Celia Rees

I read this book when it first came out, and a friend of mine told me it was available on audio.  And guess who was reading it?  Jennifer Ehle!  Elizabeth Bennet from the immortal BBC production of Pride & Prejudice that co-starred Colin Firth!  So I had to listen.

And the whole time, all I could see in my mind was Eliza Bennet (Jennifer Ehle).  Urgh.  But I still enjoyed the story the second time around, and although totally distracting on the I-have-seen-that-mini-series-too-many-times-not-to-envision-the-narrator’s-every-expression level, Ehle did a commendable job.  I may need to picket my library until Sorceress gets onto audio now, too.

Speaking of P&P, I have a fest to set up.
